Which iPad is it designed for?
The planned range covers selected iPad Air and iPad Pro models with a rear Smart Connector. Each needs its own model-specific mount. Use the compatibility checker above to find your model. Final physical fit, retention and charging tests are still in progress.
Can I buy an iPad with my mount?
An iPad + Hovvi bundle is planned. Models, condition and bundle pricing are still to be confirmed. The current preorder is for the Hovvi mount-and-charger kit only, without an iPad.
Can I take the iPad off the wall?
Yes. The design uses magnetic retention so the iPad can be lifted away from the side. The wall housing stays in place, leaving the tablet and the space behind it accessible. Final retention and removal forces are still being tested.
How does it charge?
A rear Smart Connector charging solution is in development. This uses physical electrical contacts, rather than Qi wireless charging. Charger fit and the final charging package are still being confirmed.
What does installation involve?
Hovvi is designed to recess into plasterboard. An installer prepares the opening and shallow perimeter rebate, then secures the concealed housing using rear clamps. Final cavity requirements and an installation guide will be supplied before sale. Any mains electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
When can I order one?
You can preorder with an AUD $30 deposit. Preorder customers receive AUD $100 off the planned AUD $299 launch price, for an AUD $199 total kit price. Your deposit is credited, leaving AUD $169 plus shipping payable separately when your model is ready. Our planned launch is 30 October 2026; this is not a guaranteed dispatch date. Nothing is charged automatically.
